Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that produces results. Our servers do not keep a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details included in your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host may log standard technical details, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to operate and improve the service. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Data
We use contact information to answer a message and technical information to protect, maintain, and understand the service. We do not sell search terms or correspondence as a standalone data set.
External Services
Official portals, libraries, archive catalogs, sponsored search tools, and other links have their own policies and terms. Their collection practices, availability, and charges are controlled by their operators, not by Hurst Residents Directory.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise only as needed to operate the service.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures for the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so visitors should avoid sending sensitive personal information through ordinary contact channels.
Children
The service is not directed to people under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information may contact us through the Contact page.
Your Privacy Choices
You may ask about personal information you sent directly to us or request its correction or deletion where applicable. Texas’s Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541, provides rights for covered personal data but does not control records held by state agencies or political subdivisions. Government-held record access and restrictions remain governed by the applicable custodian and law.
Policy Changes
We may revise this policy when operations or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted here, and continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
